Description
The Titay South Beach Resort at Boracay Island is a
Hotel and Cottage Type located at the beach front. It is family
owned and set in a quiet, professionally landscaped rustic garden
with plenty of bougainvilleas.
The
Owners
The name of the resort is named after Felicitas Lumbo, a loving
wife of Lorenzo and caring mother of Elizabeth and Christopher.
The Lumbo family's presence in Boracay Island has been remarkable
through the virtues of the old couple shared with the native
islanders during their heydeys.
Christopher,
with wife Mila, painstakingly nurtured and developed the property
he inherited from his parents. Titay started just as a simple
yet elegant theater-restaurant in 1985 and since then became
synonymous to the Filipino cultural performances it showcases.
Resort
Location
This particular beach resort is conveniently located on the
most serene part of Boracay beach, Station 3 of Boracay Island,
has blossomed into a well refined and distinctly exotic beach
resort hotel.
Titay
South Beach Resort is conveniently located at the start of the
four-kilometer powder-fine sugar-white sands of Boracay Island,
probably the best beach in the world. It is the only beach in
the Island which showcases the three distinct cultures of the
Philippines namely, the Igorots of Luzon, the Visayans of the
Visayas and the Muslims of Mindanao.
Today,
the ethnic flavors, sounds and colors it has been famous for
have been transpired into one of the popular and better resorts
the island has. Moreso, Titay's virtue of community sharing
has likewise been institutionalized through a foundation namely,
Titay Foundation, Inc., organized by the husband and wife team
of Chris and Mila for scholarship and small entrepreneurship
for native islanders.
